World Language Department

Welcome to the Methacton World Language Department. The goal of the World Language program is to help students develop the ability to read, speak, write and understand another language with confidence. Students have the choice of studying French, German or Spanish through the AP level. Beyond language skills, the program also aims to help students develop an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and perspectives in today’s global society. 

Seal of Biliteracy

The Seal of Biliteracy is an award presented to graduating Methacton High School seniors who are proficient in English and one or more world language. Being a recipient of this nationally recognized award gives employers and higher education institutions with a way to identify candidates with biliteracy skills.  Learn more about the Seal of Biliteracy here.
