Report an Absence, Tardy, or Early Departure:

Parents/Guardians can report an absence, tardy or early departure using one of two methods:
- PowerSchool Parent Portal (preferred method)
- A follow up note from the parent/guardian is NOT required. If a doctor's note is available, however, it should be dropped off in the main office when the student returns to school.

- Phone call to the attendance secretary
- Please include your child’s name, grade, teacher’s name and the SPECIFIC reason for the absence. It is requested that no additional information be placed on the voicemail.
- Absences reported by phone call will be recorded as unexcused unless a parent/guardian supplies a physical note to the school’s main office within three days of the absence. The note should include:
- Student name
- Student ID Number
- Date of absence
- Reason
- Parent/Guardian name and signature
Note: Emails are not accepted as a form of absence reporting. Emails sent to report attendance matters will receive an automated reply directing families to use either the PowerSchool Parent Portal or contact the school by phone.
Reminders:
- You are requested to report the attendance matter no later than 15 minutes after the start of the school day.
- Students are not allowed to report themselves absent.
- When a doctor's note is available, it should be dropped off in the main office upon the student's return to school. Doctor's notes should not be emailed.
